It had been a year since I was last at Bird Island Basin to windsurf on my annual birthday trip. It was great to return. The winds had been good all week, then during the night a severe norther hit rocking the motor home and flooding the beach. Lightning hit all around. With the morning, the wind remained, but the rain had gone. Winds were topping the 30 knot mark and a few of us intrepid souls rigged and ventured forth to be rewarded with some screaming rides. After I satisfied myself that I could still play with the big dogs, I sat out a set and grabbed my ever faithful camera and set out to document the great day. Enjoy!
